Wedding Flowers

If you are thinking about getting married, then we would love to be of help. There is something very special about getting married in a church, and asking for God’s blessing on your new life together.

We aim to make every wedding unique to the couple getting married. As part of that, the vicar, Tulo, meets with each couple two to three times to plan the wedding service with them and to get to know them.

As well as the beautiful church building, St Barbara’s has a very good choir who can be available to sing at the wedding.

If you are thinking of getting married, why not get in touch with the vicar to arrange an informal chat. He can be contacted by phone on 07869 603216 or by email on tulo@raistricks.com

Reading of Banns

If you are getting married in another Anglican church, but one or both of you live in St Barbara’s parish, you will need to have your “banns read” at the church. On three consecutive Sundays two to three months before your wedding day,we will announce during the church notices that you are getting married. This is a legal requirement, but is also a lovely way of letting local people know you are getting married and gives us as a church the opportunity to include you in our prayers.

If you are not sure whether you live in St Barbara’s parish, click on this link to find out.

To arrange to have your banns read at St Barbara’s, please contact our vicar, Tulo Raistrick, by phone on 024 7501 7889 or email on tulo@raistricks.com.
